We were used to looking at the map to check the current objective, and we started using the map to check possible flanking maneuvers.

Gearbox introduced concepts like fixing & flanking the enemy. It was no longer about point and shoot, endless shooting galleries, or gunning down hordes of brain-dead enemies that rush to their deaths. Hell's Highway improves upon Brothers in Arms Road To Hill 30 that changed the Military shooter forever. Read my new sci-fi thriller novel Herokiller, available now in print and online. I guess we’ll find out this fall.įollow me on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. But I’m not sure how valuable this will be for a wide audience. I definitely feel like there are worse offerings out there in the subscription space, and this seems to run circles around something like EA Access. Also it’s not even for console yet, which rules me out entirely. So even as an avid gamer, I’m not sure this is worth it for me, as I literally don’t have time for all the bonus games this service offers, as my backlog is far deeper than a bunch of Tom Clancy titles or ancient Prince of Persia games. Last year it was AC: Odyssey and Far Cry 5. I feel like with Ubisoft’s recent release schedule I’m probably buying maybe…two Ubisoft games a year consistently? This year that will be Breakpoint and The Division 2. Though there is literally not time to play everything on this list, as Ubisoft brags there’s 4,000 hours of single player content alone in this list, to say nothing of multiplayer offerings like Rainbow Six Siege. So if you’re buying three Ubisoft games a year at launch, this makes you break about even, but it gives you access to uh, 113 other games if you want them. Still, $15 a month isn’t nothing, which equates to $180 a year, the equivalent of three, $60 games.
